Ranbir Kapoor is the son of star hero Rishi Kapoor and heroine Neetu Singh. Rishi Kapoor was one of the Bollywood top heroes in 1970.

Neetu Singh was also one of the glamorous heroines in those days. But Ranbir started his career as an assistant director. He worked as an assistant director for the film Black with Sanjay Leela Bansali.




















When he decided to become an actor he went to New York to join an acting course. After completion of this course he made his debut with the movie Saawariya.




















This movie became a flop at the box office but received critical acclaim, especially Ranbir got good fan following. Recently he appeared in the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite his girl friend Deepika Padukone. This movie was average at box office, but got flop talk and so many criticised this movie.














Presently he is acting in the films like Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani with Katrina and Wake Up Sid with Konkana Sen. He is also acting in the movie Rajniti which was based on political leader Sonia Gandhi.
